I forgot I had this handy tool!

I forgot I had purchased a yarn winder a couple of years ago for all the fun yarns I have.  I had purchased these beautiful skeins of Sari Silk from Divinity Fibers on Etsy last year.  They were nicely twisted together but over time after taking a piece here and a piece there...the fiber was starting to get tangled and messy....

Then...today, the LIGHT came on...DUH..I can make my life a little easier if I just use the tools I have...or remember that I have them.  LOL.  So, I pulled out my handy dandy yarn spooler and whipped those tangled skeins into these beautifully wrapped spools of fiber.

Ahhh...much easier to use, much easier to store...

I think I just like looking at them now...hehehehe..

My little Lily kitty crouched down in that kitty play mode and was getting ready to play with the fiber as I was rolling it up...but all I had to say was...Hey, what are you think of doing? She looked at me...sat down, well crouched down...and just watched me unravel the fiber and then wind it all up on my handy dandy yarn winder...  Well worth the cost of this little winder.  They are not cheap I must admit, but something I know will last me a long time and I know I will use it over and over....

Ravelry

Wow...well...HOPPY EASTER!  Its here already, that means I am off for Spring break!  Time has flown so fast, it just amazes me.  I am so happy because soon I will be attending this fun Artisan fair, first one like this in my area.  I have been busting my rump getting fun stuff made up!  Also, as you see by the title of this post, I am now a member of this group.  Ravelry is an online group which is all about YARN, another of my favorite items...I dont know how much yarn I have but I know its a dresser full...all 4 drawers are nothing but yarn!  But I am not a heavy knitter or crocheter...I am more like an altered art artist...so I use yarn for lots of things...mostly doll hair..but hey...I got plans!!!!  So, I make these really fun things I think I had mentioned earlier...markers...beaded up with my style...so, eventually the plan is that I donate sample pieces to Ravelry, the send out boxes to customers, and with some luck they will like their samples and buy them!  I was referred to this website by a wonderful customer, Lampy, who really liked my markers and said that this is the place for me to be.  I am anxious to get the ball rollin but I have to wait til after May.  Then I will submit my samples and I will keep you posted on the progress...  Ok, so now...off to making more goodies for the Artisan fair...

Enjoy your day...

Cranberry Cream

Well...here is another one of my attempts to creating a bracelet. I made matching earrings. I am having so much fun with this style of bracelet. Its so easy to make. The trick is making the string tight, tying knots frequently, and making sure you have at least 8 different types of beads.

How does one do this?

How do you do it? I have been adding new blogs to my list and I cant seem to keep up with them all. I now have 3 stores online that I put my art on for sale, plus my own website. Im finding it to be quite time consuming. I will admit though that I have lots more visitors than before. Guess that is what my goal was in the first place, more exposure! Im not complaining, I just want to know if there are others out there who have this same issue!

On another note, I wanted to share with you my latest and greatest doll. Vintage Bride. She is quite beautiful I might add...I enjoyed putting her together over the weekend and I am quite pleased with how she turned out. Let me know what you think?

Have a Great Monday!!!
