Updated my flickr site, new earrings...guess what they are made from?

  1. I don't know anything about guns, but I'm going to guess empty shot gun shells. Is that too wacky? Whatever it is, you've turned them into something very cool looking!

  2. Well, you are very close...LOL they are 38's from a small handgun. I am having so much fun making them! THANK YOU!

  3. I never would have given it a thought if you hadn't asked! I seriously know so little about guns. But when I looked closely, bullet shells were the only thing I could think of. How do you do this?! They are marvelous!

(FYI--My first pairs of earrings were made from fishing lure parts! Give us ANYTHING, and we'll make jewelry!)

  4. Hey Sharyl,
Glad you like them...I am having a blast making them too. I am going to make a tutorial on how to make them hopefully before the end of the year. They actually are quite simple. I etch them in acid, then age them with liver of sulfur, and give them some shine! I will drop you a line once I get the tut made up. Not sure if I am going to put it up for free yet. But I do like to share...LOL
